our coffee
Strong, smooth and super easy to drink.
That’s what people say about our 100% Ugandan Robusta coffee.
Shockingly overlooked in favour of its more famous cousin, Arabica, Robusta has its own unique vibe.
Chocolately, nutty and rich. Seriously, what’s not to love?
But we don’t just grow Robusta because it can taste unbelievably good, it’s also resilient to climate change, grows faster, and uses up less land than Arabica.
Which is good news for the planet, and for the smallholder farmers in Uganda who grow all our beans.
Here's more.
how it began
Founder Wycliffe grew up picking coffee in Uganda to pay for his school fees.
As he worked, brightly-coloured Blue Turaco birds sang in the trees around him.
Years later, he moved to the UK and noticed something odd.
No Ugandan coffee? No Robusta?
Someone had to change that.
So he decided to break a few rules.
Today, he's the first smallholder farmer to own a coffee brand in the UK.
impact
Most coffee brands buy coffee from farmers.
Ours is owned by one.
That changes how we think about coffee.
What we grow. How we grow it. And who benefits from it.
It also means every bag helps provide school meals for children in coffee-growing villages.
